Since the advent of system 6.0.4 and the new SoundMaster with finder sounds, life on the desktop has been so much more entertaining!
You see, it started in my youth...(flashback harp music)
I HATED emptying the trash, and as soon as I learned how to edit my first ICN# with ResEdit, I changed my trashcan to a shredder! Now, with finder sound effects available, I've been having REAL fun!
If you don't know ResEdit - quit now!
Open the ICN# resource of (a copy of) the finder. Open either the Shredder or Toilet resource files (your preference) and copy the ICN# resource from that file to the ICN# resource of the finder, replacing the resources with the same ID.
For the final touch, open the MENU resource #5 of the finder and change the text of "Empty Trash" to "Flush Tiolet" or whatever your deranged little mind can think of! Also open STR# resource #129 and change the "Trash" string to whatever you'd like to call your "NoTrash!" ICN# (this is the name that appears under the ICN# on the desktop).
This is given out as UNDERware - think of it whenever your felling a little UNDER the weather, or when your boss has you UNDER a mountain of paperwork, or when your mate has you UNDER his/her thumb, etc.
